24-  3rd Year Participants in the Hampton University Homecoming Parade  

Our Tribe extended a tribute in memory of the Native American students who attended Hampton University in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, by participating in the Hampton University Homecoming Parade.  We had a beautiful delegation resplendent in regalia.  The Tribal members who participated were Chief Lynette Allston, Vice Chief Archie Elliott, War Chief Bill Wright, Tribal Councilman Edwin Dukes, Tribal Councilman Edward Branch, Billy Elliott, Jackie Elliott, Nathan Elliott, Tracy Elliott, Eliana Elliott, Beth Roach, Crystal Joyner and Sid Turner who carried the Tribal Flag.  Sid is a 1969 graduate of Hampton University.  Thank you to Sheila Elliott for arranging our participation and for organizing our logistical needs.

Sat. 31-  Chippokes State Plantation Park The Nottoway Education Committee and other Tribal Citizens will offer discussions and activities at Chippokes State Park, "Festival of Crafts".
Time: 2-5pm

We have received an invitation to attend the Waccamaw PauWau in Aynor, SC.  (More information will be provided soon).
